Baby It's cold outside...

Howdy from the Icebox. Literally. We have had some pretty cold temps the past few weeks. Now anything that is above zero we consider a heat wave. We have about six inches of snow now, but we are expecting a lot more.

Dudley has continued to grow and grow. For the most part he is being a great puppy--although we did realize what happens when we don't secure his play area when we are away...he will chew on something of value...like Brian's sunglasses. He's becoming a pro at fetch and what we like to call the "bucking bronco": Jumping in the air while moving backwards.

Hope you all are doing well. Stay warm!

Yes. You read that right. 20 degrees below 0. Brrrr!

Wichita, spokane bling, and a dog named Dudley

Ciao everyone! Sorry it has taken us so long to put another post on the blog. We have had a lot of stuff happen in the past few weeks. Here's the highlights:

We spent halloween in Wichita visiting Brian's grandma and family. Brian's Aunt and Uncle put on one mean Halloween show--there were about 3000 trick or treaters! We also got to sample some great gelato at Janet's restaurant. Tasty.

We spent the next weekend in Spokane for Danny & Alicia's wedding. A few days before their big celebration, Brian took the opportunity to pop the BIG QUESTION to Beth in St. Al's church. She said Yes! and we are now in the midst of planning a July wedding in Spokane!

As if that wasn't enough excitement we decided to add to our little family with a puppy. His name is Dudley and he's an airedale. He's 13 weeks old now and weighs 21 pounds....although from the looks of his paws he's going to be one big boy when he's full grown.

That's all for now. We'll be sure to post more pics of handsome Dudley as he continues to grow. Enjoy our gallery of pictures and...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Bronco Bonanza

Hi everyone. Well, we are pretty much settled in our new home in Fraser. We both ended up getting jobs at Devil's Thumb Ranch, which is basically a cross-country ski resort. Brian has already started working in the kitchen as a sous chef and Beth will start in November working at the front desk. If you want to know more check out their website: www.devilsthumbranch.com
We already experienced our first blizzard and super cold temps. We went down to Denver on Beth's birthday for the Bronco's game. The Broncos won which made it an extra sweet day. Now we're getting ready for the World Series. Go Rockies!
Here are some more pics for your enjoyment:

Seattle to Fraser

We made a few stops on our way to Fraser. First, we stopped in Spokane to remember the good old days in Zag Country.
Then, we drove 12 hours to Brian's hometown: Worland, Wyoming. We spent over a week enjoying all that Worland has to offer: indian summers, uncrowded golf courses, and Brian's family. We also spent a few days at the family cabin in the Big Horn Mountains where we encountered our first snowfall of the season.
After packing up the cars one more time, we drove 7 hours on two-lane highways to Fraser, Colorado. We made it to our new home without any car troubles...if you know our record that is unbelievable.
Here are some pics from our journey to the icebox:

Welcome

Hello world.
Like modern day pioneers, we've pulled our stakes and traveled east across snowy mountains, lush valleys, and high desert plains.
Our goal: to shake the dust off our shoes and the rain off our ponchos. To live the life of mountain people away from the trials and tribulations of the modern world.
Just as Lewis and Clark documented their travels, we too will journal our happenings in the high country via the modern day format of BLOG.
These are our stories...enjoy.
